Mystic Revelation Artist

Barbara Stamegna is an ever-evolving Mystic Revelation artist whose goal is the attainment of union with the Absolute.  Her works are handled by well-known Managers and Art Dealers of international repute, dealing with artists such as Picasso, Lucio Fontana, Andy Warhol, Amedeo Modigliani, Claude Monet and Marc Chagall.

Her artworks are permanently exhibited in private and public collections in Europe and USA, and have been exhibited in prestigious group and solo shows in Italy and abroad, including the Artexpo in New York. She received positive reviews from International Art Critics such as Prof. Giovanni Mazzetti, ex member of the jury of the Venice Biennale, who said of her:

For the high level of professionalism she has achieved in the artistic field, Barbara Stamegna received, throughout her artistic career, noteworthy recognitions and awards, such as the “Coppa Pacis” Prize in Florence, the Portugal International Prize (City of Lisbon), the Milanart Prize in Milan, the “L’Aquila della Libertà” Prize of Honor in Florence, the Modern Fine Arts Prize “Il Nodo d’Italia” in Livorno, the National Universal Values of Humanity Prize in Vercelli, the prestigious Oscar Prize for Visual Arts in Castrocaro Terme, the Grand Prize of Italy in Reggio Emilia, the Grand Prize “Terra d’Etruria” in Grosseto, the Europa Art Mediolanum Prize in Milan, etc.

GENERAL INFO, EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND

Barbara Stamegna was born in Rome on December 29, 1971, and she is now based in Rome (Italy).

She completed her education in the USA obtaining a High School Certificate of Proficiency – Mira Costa High School, Manhattan Bch., California  in 1987, and in Italy with a University Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures – Università degli Studi di Roma Tre – Rome in 1998.

Barbara showed a strong inclination for art since childhood, especially for drawing.  But it’s only starting from 1991 that she fulfilled her dream and started dedicating herself to art with great passion. Since then has never stopped experimenting and exploring new creative veins, working on several art projects and using different techniques and mediums.

Barbara’s art depicts abstract forms and figures, celestial beings and religious archetypes, elements of nature, shapes and forms with strong color contrasts and shades, expressing the innate need of humankind for beauty, pureness, joy, happiness and Truth, as well as the desire and research of spiritual elevation to reach the immaterial and the Essence of everything.
Barbara Stamegna’s art is permeated by truly deep mysticism, drawing the viewer’s attention to issues of universal value. Through her art, Barbara seeks to convey positive aspects and content, feelings of joy and peace, insights for reflection and spiritual search, which can foster everyone’s spiritual growth and the search for beauty and goodness in everything around us. Barbara’s artworks intelligibly, comprehensibly and movingly represent the world of the invisible, the spiritual world, God.

Art Production

Barbara likes to experiment and research for powerful and yet natural and gentle means of expressions, and she works on different art projects and collections such as Abstract Paintings, Miniature Paintings, Pieces Painting Project, Photography Painting Art, Oil Pastels Collection and Painting Based Digital Art.  She uses different techniques and mediums to create her artworks. Her creativity recently found expression in new projects of digital art and applied art, that she carries out, from 2018, in parallel with traditional art.
